System Requirements

RapidPrint™ and eReserve are able to run across a wide variety of platforms, operating systems, network configurations and even campuses.
In order to run the eReserve/RapidPrint™ systems, you will need at least the following configuration:

• A Web Server with PHP4 or PHP5 installed
• Zend Optimiser (http://www.zend.com) installed on the hosting web server[s]
• A database server running Oracle or MySQL.

Optionally, you may also want the following:

• GhostScript (used by eReserve) for counting pages in submitted PDF files
• Perl (used by the Print Polling Server) for generating a PostScript banner page
• LPR (used by the Print Polling Server) for sending print jobs to the nominated print queue
• Most professional printers can be accommodated and used by RapidPrint™ - please advise us of your printer preferences prior to purchase and we can advise the most compatible options.

Security and experience
